Job description

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.  

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead Software & Systems Integrator III to lead integration efforts across complex multi-platform systems. This role serves as the technical authority for systems integration activities, guiding approach and execution while mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with a strong foundation in cybersecurity and networking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of software components and subsystems across Windows and Linux operating environments
  • Drive the design, configuration, and maintenance of virtualized infrastructure and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
  • Define and execute black box and grey box testing strategies to validate system functionality and identify defects
  • Develop and review technical documentation including test procedures, integration guides, and system configuration records
  • Architect and implement scripting and automation solutions to support integration and DevOps workflows
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for integration issues, coordinating across engineering teams to resolve complex problems
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior integrators
  • Lead configuration management practices and enforce version control standards
  • Oversee system builds, deployments, and environment provisioning
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, processes, and best practices to improve integration efficiency and quality
  • Support cybersecurity compliance efforts including certificate management, PKI infrastructure, and secure system configurations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software integration, systems integration, or a closely related technical role
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles with emphasis on PKI, certificate management, and secure communications
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, network troubleshooting)
  • Hands-on experience with both Windows and Linux system administration
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts and coordinate across teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and advanced problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.)
  • Experience writing and optimizing database queries (SQL)
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CISSP, CEH, or similar)
  • Experience with PKI architecture, certificate lifecycle management, and TLS/SSL implementation
  • Knowledge of network security tools and practices (IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanning)
  • Experience with mobile technologies and mobile device integration
  • Prior experience in a technical lead or team lead capacity
  • Familiarity with DoD or government systems integration environments
