Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Network Engineer to lead the installation, configuration, and monitoring of Unix/Linux-based systems and networks. This role is critical in supporting our clients' infrastructure needs, ensuring system reliability, and driving automation and optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux operating systems and open-source technologies.
• Monitor system and network performance, ensuring high availability and optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues and system anomalies.
• Manage change requests and implement system updates and patches.
• Design and implement automation strategies for system deployment and configuration management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs and improve system efficiency.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measure
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Preferred Skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Relevant certifications (RHCE, Linux+, CCNA/CCNP, etc.).
