Network and Exploitation Analyst
The Opportunity:

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Network Exploitation Professional with junior to mid-level experience to join our team. This role focuses on network exploitation, protocol analysis, and vulnerability assessment to identify adversary capabilities. Secondary responsibilities include part-time Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems administration to support and maintain infrastructure critical to operations.
This role is ideal for candidates looking to expand their expertise in network and protocol exploitation while gaining hands-on experience with offensive security techniques and tools. You Have:
  • 1+ years of experience in network exploitation, protocol analysis, or cybersecurity operations
  • Experience with protocol reverse engineering or a desire to grow skills in reverse-engineering unknown or proprietary protocols
  • Experience with tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump for analyzing, decoding, and working with network traffic
  • Experience with Linux systems administration, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including updates, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with containerization concepts and Docker or Podman for container management
  • Experience using automation tools such as Ansible to automate and streamline administrative or operational tasks
  • Knowledge of network communication protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP(S), and concepts for the OSI model
  • Knowledge of basic programming or scripting using Python, C, C++, or Bash for automation and network analysis
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with protocol fuzzing techniques to test and identify vulnerabilities in communication systems
  • Experience with additional offensive tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, or Scapy
  • Experience with network device configuration and management such as routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience creating playbooks or automating workflows with Ansible
  • Knowledge of continuously improving containerized workloads with tools such as Docker and Podman
  • Knowledge of embedded systems debugging and protocols like UART, JTAG, or SPI
  • Possession of strong analytical thinking skills and eagerness to learn new technologies and technical concepts quickly to apply them to problem-solving
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or technical discipline
  • Entry-level Certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or RHCSA Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
