Details:

Location: Alpharetta, GA or Berkeley Heights, NJ - Hybrid
Duration: 12 months
Required
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in the role as a Senior Database Administrator, Associate Operations Manager, or a related position.
  • 5+ years of experience with: DB2; Database administration on V11.1 for Linux, Unix and Windows, HADR, and CDC.
  • Experience with db2top, CA7 scheduler and shell scripting.
  • Must have two years of experience with: Database administration on V11.5 for Linux, Unix, and Windows, HADR, CDC and EMC Networker.

Responsibilities :
  • Manage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, and provide problem resolution end-to-end. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and allocate database of medium to high complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility of the data.
  • Utilize data administration on V11.5 and 11.1 for Linux, Unix, and Windows, DB2, HADR, and CDC.
  • Apply database patches and upgrades, such as EMC Networker, db2top, CA7 scheduler and shell scripting, and routine DBA activities.
