Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Linux Systems Architect - Level 3/4 with expert knowledge of ground infrastructure requirements and specific automation techniques. This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.

As a Linux Systems Architect, your duties will include reviewing, understanding and designing automation techniques to address a wide range of infrastructure requirements; understanding of automation for both Infrastructure as Code and cyber hardening/patching; working closely with software and systems engineering teams to ensure requirements are understood and blockers are elevated.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Linux Systems Architect - Level 3:5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 year of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Linux Systems Architect - Level 4:8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 6 years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Active SCI/CI Poly required at the time of application
  • Current Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certification
  • Extensive experience with Linux Operating System
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Classified Linux environments
  • Experience operating and managing systems within current applicable information systems cyber compliance standards in closed areas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in technical judgment
  • Experience with Linux functions in yum, ldap, ansible (IAC tools), stig implementation, SELinux, kickstart, dns, dhcp, firewalld, log analysis, managing logical volumes, pki, git, RBAC/HBAC
  • Experience working as part of an Agile development environment
  • Understanding information technologies, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze high level needs utilizing use cases and relate them to requirements
  • Experience with VMWare implementation, migration, and maintenance
Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
