Job description

Key Responsibilities

•            Own end-to-end architecture for device stabilization including OS optimization (Yocto Linux, systemd, hardware watchdog), application dependency removal (Java/ActiveMQ to ZeroMQ or D-Bus), and cycle-safe self-healing logic on NXP i.MX6 ARM hardware

•            Chair the cross-stream architecture council and produce Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) for all significant design decisions

•            Review and approve technical designs from Senior Embedded Engineers, .NET Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and DevOps engineers across all workstreams

•            Define and enforce engineering standards, OTA firmware delivery practices, and integration checkpoints across workstreams

 

Required Skills & Experience

•            Hands-on expertise with Yocto Linux build systems and ARM-based embedded platforms (NXP i.MX6 or similar)

•            Strong working knowledge of systemd service management, hardware watchdog integration, and Linux OS optimization

•            Experience with IoT device fleet management and OTA firmware delivery in production environments

•            Familiarity with ASP.NET Core microservices and lightweight IPC frameworks such as ZeroMQ or D-Bus

•            Experience working in regulated industries (medical devices, life sciences, or similar) is strongly preferred
