OverviewAs a State Student Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the state and school teams for all student system's needs. In addition, partner with vendors and the national systems team to maintain operational systems and staff/student access.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with all shareholders in supporting day-to-day operations of the educational systems for assigned state.
  • Provides technical support and coordinates onboarding and training to state and school staff for all assigned systems.
  • Manages student system helpdesk tickets for all shareholders in the assigned state and escalates tickets to the correct vendor and/or escalation team as needed.
  • Trains and supports staff on change management, helpdesk and other procedures as needed.
  • Directly supports each school for state reporting data submissions and partners with the PowerSchool SIS Administrator to ensure the student information system is configured correctly for full funding.
  • Work with staff and various department team members on projects, data requests, data analysis, reporting, and custom reports as needed.
  • Partners with end users and department managers to ensure data is available, reliable, consistent, accessible, and secure.

Requirements

  • Must have prior experience with PowerSchool and Clever.
  • Learning management system and other educational applications experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, computer science or related area or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a PowerSchool/PowerTeacher student information system and gradebook.
  • Experience in reporting data submissions for State for various departments.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage daily activities and short/long-term projects under pressure with accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Experience in working in an education setting or similar environment.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible work schedule, as needed to solve service issues.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods.
  • May perform other duties assigned.
