What You Will Do:
  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
  • Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within a reasonable amount of time
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
  • Travel required as business needs dictate to other US domestic locations, up to 5% per year.
  • 100% onsite

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advance Degree in a related field.
  • Ability to obtain Interim U.S. security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with developing solutions and documenting technical problems and their solutions.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) certification and an Operating System Certification
  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF controls
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
  • Experience in Sun Solaris or Unisys platforms and operating systems
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development
  • Experience with scripting languages like bash, Perl, PowerShell, Python, Ansible

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
