Job description

Role Summary
The AVP Database & Cloud Platform hands-on Support Manager/Lead will be responsible for providing L2/L3 operational support, reliability engineering, and technical leadership for enterprise database and cloud platforms hosted on AWS. The role serves as the senior escalation point for production issues impacting PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, data pipelines, and associated AWS services.
The individual will drive platform stability, incident reduction, performance optimization, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery readiness, and operational excellence while partnering with application, infrastructure, security, and cloud engineering teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Production Support & Incident Management
  • Act as L3 escalation point for major production incidents.
  • Lead troubleshooting of database, platform, and cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions.
  • Coordinate incident communications and stakeholder updates.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and major incident bridges.
  • Monitor platform SLAs and operational KPIs.

Database Platform Support
Support and administration of:
  • AWS RDS PostgreSQL
