Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco or Mountain View.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

LinkedIn Media Productions (LMP) is evolving. What began as a best-in-class live events and broadcast production team is becoming a modern, in-house creative production engine-partnering directly with Marketing, Brand, and Content teams to bring campaigns to life across video, social, events, and emerging formats.

We're looking for a Director of LinkedIn Media Productions to lead that transformation. This role is about building and leading a world-class team of creative executors-exceptional editors, motion designers, and producers-while defining how LinkedIn delivers high-quality, high-volume creative work with speed, consistency, and craft.

You'll partner closely with creative and marketing leads, but your core mandate is clear: turn ideas into outstanding work, at scale. This is a highly visible role for a hands-on production leader who thrives at the intersection of craft, systems-building, and execution-someone equally comfortable running large-scale production pipelines and diving into the details of creative output.

Responsibilities

  • Production Leadership & Transformation: Lead the evolution of LMP from a live events and broadcast organization into a modern creative production partner for marketing, defining how production operates across campaigns, tentpoles, social content, and always-on storytelling.

  • Creative Production Excellence: Own end-to-end execution across video, motion, live experiences, and post-production, maintaining a high bar for editorial craft, motion design, pacing, and storytelling quality.

  • Scaling Output & Modern Workflows: Design production systems and modular, repeatable workflows that enable speed, volume, and consistency without sacrificing quality across formats and channels.

  • AI & Innovation: Introduce and scale AI-assisted production tools and workflows to accelerate iteration and output, keeping LinkedIn at the forefront of modern creative production.

  • Scalable Production Models: Establish production approaches that support both high-touch flagship work and high-volume content systems, translating campaign ideas and creative direction into polished, channel-ready output.

  • Team Leadership & Culture: Build and lead a high-performing team of creative executors-editors, motion designers, producers, and post-production specialists-creating an environment where craft is valued, output is prioritized, and teams move quickly without friction.

  • Talent Development: Establish clear roles, expectations, and growth paths that attract and retain top-tier production talent.

  • Operational Oversight: Oversee production planning, resourcing, budgets, and vendor/contractor ecosystems, ensuring all work is delivered on time, on budget, and at a consistently high standard of quality.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Brand, and Content teams to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables, balancing competing demands across tentpoles, campaigns, and ongoing content needs.

  • Creative Partnership: Act as a trusted execution partner to creative leadership, bringing discipline, clarity, and feasibility to the work while supporting key decisions on vendors, talent, and production approach.

  • Performance & Insights: Leverage performance data and feedback to continuously refine formats, workflows, and output quality, establishing clear metrics for production effectiveness, efficiency, and creative impact.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in media production, post-production, and creative production leadership.

  • 8+ years of experience leading hands-on creative production teams (edit, motion, video, events)..

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in production, video editing, motion design, and post-production workflows

  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver high-impact work.

  • Proven track record delivering high-quality creative at scale across campaigns and content ecosystems.

  • Experience building or evolving production functions within an in-house or agency environment.

  • Strong understanding of modern production models, vendor ecosystems, and content pipelines.

  • Experience integrating new technologies and AI-driven workflows into production.

  • Ability to lead through transformation while maintaining operational excellence.

  • Passion for the future of production-including how AI and new tools can enhance (not replace) craft.

Suggested Skills

  • Creative production craft

  • Production systems & workflow design

  • Team building & talent development

  • Vendor and budget management

  • AI-enabled production workflows
