Linetec is seeking experienced Overhead Distribution Crews to support the Rio Grande Valley Resiliency Project. We are looking for established crews consisting of a Foreman, Journeyman Lineman or Lineman A, Lineman B, and Apprentice who are committed to safely delivering high-quality overhead distribution construction.

As a complete crew, you will work together to perform new construction, rebuilding, maintenance, and storm hardening of electric distribution systems while maintaining the highest standards of safety, productivity, and workmanship.

The Foreman will provide day-to-day leadership and direction for the crew while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and customer standards.

What You'll Do
  • Perform overhead electric distribution construction and maintenance.
  • Construct, rebuild, and maintain distribution power lines.
  • Safely operate equipment and tools required for overhead line work.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Work collaboratively as an established crew to complete assigned projects.
  • Maintain productivity while delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Travel throughout the Rio Grande Valley project area as required.
  • Represent Linetec with professionalism and integrity on every job site.
What You'll Need
Foreman
  • Previous experience leading overhead distribution crews.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and safety management skills.
  • CDL preferred or ability to obtain one within company guidelines.
Journeyman Lineman/ A Lineman
  • Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive overhead distribution experience.
  • Ability to perform energized and de-energized line work safely.
  • CDL is required or ability to obtain one within company guidelines.
Lineman B
  • Progressive overhead distribution experience.
  • Ability to safely perform line construction under the direction of the Foreman.
  • CDL is required or ability to obtain one within company guidelines.
Apprentice
  • Basic knowledge of overhead line construction preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and develop through hands-on field experience.
  • CDL is required or ability to obtain one within company guidelines.
Crew Requirements
  • Experience in overhead electric distribution construction.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel within the Rio Grande Valley project area.
  • Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.

Work Environment
  • Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
  • All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
  • Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
  • Work is performed within the "red zone" of heavy equipment
  • Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
