PositionSummary

TheAssistantMaintenanceManagerplaysacriticalleadershiproleinsupportingthereliability,maintenance,andcontinuousimprovementofproductionequipment,utilities,andfacilitysystems.ReportingdirectlytotheChiefEngineer,thisindividualwillhelpdriveequipmentuptime,operationalefficiency,workplacesafety,regulatorycompliance,andteamdevelopment.

WhatYou'llDo

Maintenance&EquipmentReliability

• AssisttheChiefEngineerinmanagingthemaintenance,repair,andoperationofallproductionequipment,utilities,andfacilitysystems.
• Leadpreventive,predictive,andcorrectivemaintenanceprogramstomaximizeequipmentreliabilityandminimizedowntime.
• Troubleshootandresolvemechanical,electrical,hydraulic,pneumatic,andautomation-relatedissues.
• Analyzeequipmentperformanceandidentifyopportunitiestoimprovethroughput,efficiency,reliability,andassetutilization.
• Providetechnicalleadershipduringequipmentfailures,emergencyrepairs,andoperationaldisruptions.
• Supportrootcauseanalysisandcorrectiveactionimplementation.

Leadership&TeamDevelopment

• Supervise,coach,andmentormaintenancetechnicians,contractors,andserviceproviders.
• Ensuremaintenanceworkordersandprojectsarecompletedsafely,efficiently,andonschedule.
• Supportemployeedevelopmentthroughtraining,cross-training,andperformancemanagement.
• Promoteacultureofaccountability,teamwork,safety,andcontinuousimprovement.
• Assistinworkforceplanning,scheduling,andresourceallocation.

Safety,Compliance&Documentation

• EnsurecompliancewithOSHAregulations,environmentalrequirements,companypolicies,andindustrystandards.
• Championastrongsafetyculturethroughtraining,audits,inspections,andcorrectiveactionprograms.
• Maintainaccuratemaintenancerecords,equipmenthistories,workorders,andsparepartsinventoriesthroughCMMSsystems.
• AssistwiththedevelopmentandimplementationofmaintenanceSOPs,preventivemaintenanceprocedures,andbestpractices.

ContinuousImprovement&Projects

• Supportcapitalprojectsfromplanningandbudgetingthroughexecutionandstartup.
• CollaboratewithOperations,Production,Quality,andLeadershipteamstoimproveoverallplantperformance.
• Assistwithvendormanagement,contractoroversight,andprocurementactivities.
• Participateinfacilityupgrades,sustainabilityinitiatives,energymanagementprograms,andprocessimprovementprojects.
• DrivecontinuousimprovementinitiativesutilizingLeanManufacturing,SixSigma,andreliability-centeredmaintenanceprinciples.

WhatWe'reLookingFor

RequiredQualifications

• Bachelor'sdegreeinMechanicalEngineering,ElectricalEngineering,IndustrialEngineering,orarelatedtechnicalfield;equivalentexperienceconsidered.
• 5-10yearsofprogressivemaintenance,engineering,reliability,ortechnicalleadershipexperiencewithinmanufacturing,healthcare,pharmaceutical,textile,laundry,medicaldevice,foodprocessing,orsimilarindustrialenvironments.
• Strongknowledgeofindustrialequipment,maintenancesystems,reliabilityprograms,andtroubleshootingmethodologies.
• Experienceleadingmaintenancepersonnel,contractors,orcross-functionalteams.
• WorkingknowledgeofOSHAregulations,environmentalcompliance,andworkplacesafetystandards.
• Abilitytoreadandinterprettechnicaldrawings,schematics,blueprints,andequipmentmanuals.
• ExperienceutilizingComputerizedMaintenanceManagementSystems(CMMS).
• Excellentleadership,communication,organizational,andproblem-solvingskills.
• Abilitytoworkflexibleschedulesandrespondtoemergencymaintenancesituationsasneeded.

PreferredQualifications

• ProfessionalEngineer(PE)licenseorrelatedtechnicalcertification.
• Experiencewithincommerciallaundry,healthcarelinenprocessing,textilemanufacturing,hospitalitylaundry,orindustriallaunderingoperations.
• Knowledgeofboilers,steamsystems,wastewatertreatmentsystems,compressedairsystems,andindustrialutilities.
• ExperiencewithPLCs,VFDs,automationcontrols,andindustrialcontrolsystems.
• LeanManufacturing,SixSigma,ReliabilityEngineering,orContinuousImprovementcertifications.
• BilingualEnglish/Spanishcommunicationskills.
• Experiencemanagingmaintenancebudgets,capitalexpenditures,andfacilityimprovementprojects.
• Familiaritywithenergymanagementandsustainabilityinitiatives.
