Located at the southeast corner of Main Street and River Street East-the gateway to downtown Ketchum, Idaho-and just minutes from Bald Mountain's River Run base, this exceptional property will debut as Sun Valley's first luxury hotel and for-sale residence offering. As part of the Viceroy team, you'll help bring our signature experiential hospitality to one of North America's most iconic, year-round mountain destinations.
The Laundry & Linen Attendant is responsible for managing the flow of all hotel linens, terry, uniforms, and laundry items between the resort and the contracted laundry provider. This position ensures that clean linens and uniforms are accurately received, sorted, inspected, distributed, and stored while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and quality standards. The Laundry & Linen Attendant also assists with uniform inventory management, audits, and quality control to ensure all associates have access to clean, professional uniforms that meet brand standards.
Responsibilities
  • Receive, sort, count, and organize all clean linen, terry, and uniform deliveries from the laundry provider.
  • Prepare and organize soiled linen, terry, uniforms, and other laundry items for pickup by the contracted laundry service.
  • Inspect incoming laundry for cleanliness, damage, stains, missing items, and overall quality standards.
  • Report damaged, stained, or missing items to management and the laundry provider as needed.
  • Maintain accurate linen, terry, and uniform inventory counts.
  • Distribute clean uniforms to associates and maintain organized uniform storage areas.
  • Conduct regular uniform audits to ensure employees are wearing the correct uniform pieces and that sufficient inventory is available.
  • Monitor uniform condition and coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary.
  • Maintain organized linen rooms, uniform storage areas, and laundry staging areas.
  • Assist Housekeeping leadership with inventory counts and par level management.
  • Ensure proper separation and handling of guest laundry, staff uniforms, and hotel-owned linens.
  • Maintain accurate records of laundry deliveries, pickups, shortages, and discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with the laundry provider regarding quality concerns, shortages, and service issues.
  • Support housekeeping operations by assisting with linen distribution to guest floors and operational departments.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and workplace cleanliness standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry operations, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, or hospitality preferred.
  • Experience working in a hotel or resort environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to count, track, and maintain inventory levels for linens, terry, uniforms, and other operational supplies.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify quality concerns, damaged items, shortages, and discrepancies.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with Housekeeping leadership, operational departments, and third-party laundry vendors.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and brand standards.
  • Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and operational priorities.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and inventory tracking systems, preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working with employee uniforms and company assets.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to safely maneuver loaded linen and laundry carts weighing up to 300 pounds.
  • Must be able to transport linens, terry, uniforms, and supplies throughout the property, including navigating hallways, elevators, ramps, and storage areas.
