The Route Service Representative (RSR) is the face of Simple, responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving account retention, revenue growth, and route efficiency. This role owns the full lifecycle of assigned accounts-building strong relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and resolving challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as corporate safety policies

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, building trust with key decision-makers and end users

  • Deliver exceptional service by responding to customer needs with urgency and creative problem-solving

  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through additional products and services

  • Optimize route efficiency to maximize productivity, control costs, and drive revenue

  • Negotiate customer renewals and support long-term account retention strategies

  • Generate referrals and communicate new business opportunities to Sales leadership

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, including appearance, organization, and customer interactions

  • Deliver clean linen, monitor quality and inventory levels, and ensure customers can operate effectively

  • Collect and transport soiled linen to the plant for processing in accordance with safety standards

  • Collaborate with Customer Success and plant teams to meet and exceed customer expectations

  • Load and unload route trucks daily, ensuring accuracy and completion of all deliveries and pickups

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in customer service, route sales, or account management

  • Experience operating 26-28 ft. straight trucks preferred

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to meet all DOT requirements and obtain/maintain a valid DOT Medical Card (employer-supported)

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems

  • Professional appearance and customer-focused mindset (uniform provided)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and push/pull linen carts up to 700 lbs

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and sit for extended periods (up to 10 hours/day)

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage routes, equipment, and customer needs effectively
