Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of an Area Lead or Packaging Supervisor is fully responsible for the production and activity on a single packaging line. Leads the assigned packaging to achieve established production schedules while maintaining safety, cost, efficiency and quality expectations. Provides coaching and training to all people assigned to the line.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Takes complete responsibility for the product quality, resource utilization, operational efficiency and employee safety.
  •  Assures that all processes are utilized and products produced conform to customer and Company standards and specifications.
  •  Performs any line operations to maintain flow of production. Provides line schedule updates to Management.
  • Ensures the packaging line runs to the speed and labor standards assigned to that product and line.
  • Ensures the efficient handling of all materials necessary to run the packaging line. 
  • Performs all on-line quality inspections and ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA drug product manufacturing procedures and FAREVA’s quality and safety standards. 
  • Performs any line operations to maintain flow of production.
  • Provides production schedule updates to Management.
  • Completes all production line paperwork, performs line start up and quality checks procedures. 
  • Performs the efficient handling of all materials inclusive of servicing packaging lines.
  • Assures all batch changes are performed in a efficient and timely manner to achieve all standards.
  • Updates all line KPI’s as required throughout the shift.   

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years manufacturing  experience required
  • Must be able to receive and comprehend large quantities of varied data, organize and present it when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to run and lead a production line
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle fast paced environment and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and take initiative on specific issues.
  • Ability to prioritize handling of situations.
  • Must be able to learn basic machine skills such as changing rolls of tape on case sealers
  • Must have a positive attitude.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Physical dexterity, repetitive hand and wrist movement.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs and ladders.
  • Must follow all GMP’s as required. Must comply with all PPE requirements. Frequently operates calculator/keyboard.
  • Must be able to work in packaging environment producing cosmetics, fragrances and toiletries. Exposure to odors, noise, temperature fluctuations and fork lift traffic. Occasional exposure to hazardous materials and cleaning solutions.
  •  Must be able to work on their feet for an entire shift. Â
