Job description

Overview

WCTractor is an established Kubota equipment dealership with eleven locations across Central and East Texas. Named the 2024 National Dealer of the Year by Lifestyle Dealer magazine, WCTractor holds Kubota Elite and Kubota Service Elite designations at every location. When you join WCTractor, you will work alongside leaders who set the standards responsible for our reputation as an industry leader.

About the Role

If you like turning wrenches, working with your hands, and seeing a finished machine roll off the line ready for a customer, this job was built for you. As a Setup Technician at our Bryan store, you will assemble and prep new Kubota tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, and light construction equipment, along with Land Pride implements and other attachments. Every unit that leaves our lot starts with you.

This position is also a proven starting point for a service technician career. You will work in the shop alongside Kubota-certified technicians, learn the equipment from the ground up, and gain the hands-on experience that prepares you for factory training and advancement into diagnostic and repair work.

Most WCTractor Setup Technicians work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays.
ย

Responsibilities

Setup Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Safely and efficiently assemble and set up new equipment of various types, including tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, implements, and attachments
  • Complete pre-delivery inspections to confirm every unit meets Kubota and WCTractor quality standards
  • Install attachments and accessories such as loaders, canopies, and hitches
  • Perform fluid checks, battery installation, tire pressure adjustments, and final operational testing
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain shop tools and equipment
  • Report any faulty equipment or safety hazards to your supervisor
Qualifications

Minimum requirements for the Setup Technician position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude; experience with hand and power tools, small engines, automotive work, ag equipment, or shop classes is a strong plus
  • Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and torque specifications
  • Comfortable lifting, bending, and working on your feet in a shop environment
  • Attention to detail and pride in quality work
  • Time management skills and the ability to work independently
  • Good communication and customer service skills

No dealership experience required. If you have a mechanical background and a strong work ethic, we will train you on the rest.
