                                Packer Job Description

Pay Rate:  $10.00 per hour                                                                                                               Job Type: Full Time Packer

Position Summary

The Chip Line Packer Reports to the production supervisor and is a key member of our “Julio’s Family. This position Primary role is responsible for Inspecting and Packing products.

 

Job Duties: 

  • Inspects and hand pack products properly at a production line’s rate of operation.
  • Responsible for following all food safety policies and procedures, current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), SSOP’s and HACCP plan
  • Perform daily and weekly sanitation procedures.
  • Marks cartons with date during line set up and changeovers as required by production schedule.
  • Assists with packaging line start up and changeovers.
  • Assists in other departments as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

                 NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- WILL TRAIN

  • Excellent communication skills (including listening, writing, speaking) required.
  • Strong Organizational skills required.
  • Ability to perform math (add, divide, fractions, percentages).
  • Ability to conduct on-going interpersonal interactions, analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and the ability to navigate and research the Internet.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred English is required.
  • High School diploma or general education degree preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing environment in a food manufacturing facility.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and move up to a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Employee will be subject to dust, noise, and odor.
  • The physical activity of this position includes, but is limited to routine walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, sitting, and visual activity.

Schedule: 8–12-hour shift (morning, or evening) Weekends / Potential Overtime
