Job description

At Danny Wimmer Presents, we don’t just put on festivals—we create unforgettable experiences where music, fans, and brands come together in epic ways! We are currently looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, can meet urgent deadlines, and shines under pressure. Passion for music is essential, as we offer long-term growth opportunities for individuals willing to learn from the ground up.
The Manager, Communications is the tactical pulse of DWP’s digital world. You are responsible for the daily execution, publishing, and community health of our festival brands. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Social Media, you support the "always-on" social machine by managing content workflows, coordinating influencer logistics, and engaging directly with our fans to build brand loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the daily scheduling and publishing of content across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn) utilizing Agorapulse.

  • Act as the final line of defense for the DWP brand. Proofread all captions, verify all links, and ensure all assets are optimized for their specific platform before they go live.

  • Draft engaging, on-brand captions that resonate with the unique "vibe" of each festival, ensuring alignment with the creative direction provided by the Senior Manager.

  • Assist in the ideation and basic editing of TikToks and Reels, staying current on trending sounds and formats that can be adapted for our audiences.

  • Manage the administrative backend of our creator programs using Grin. Track deliverables, organize contracts, and ensure influencers have the assets they need to promote our events effectively.

  • Process and file vendor invoices and influencer payments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submission to the accounting team.

  • Assist the Artist Marketing Coordinator in tracking artist posts and ensuring DWP social channels are engaging with talent to maximize cross-promotional reach.

  • Lead the frontline engagement across all platforms. Respond to comments and DMs in a way that feels authentic, helpful, and brand-aligned.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to "surprise and delight" fans through social interactions, turning casual attendees into lifelong advocates.

  • Flag emerging fan concerns or viral positive moments to the Senior Manager in real-time, especially during high-velocity announcement windows.

  • Build and manage giveaway and sweepstakes landing pages within Tradable Bits, ensuring they are optimized for data capture and follow DWP brand guidelines.

  • Facilitate the flow of creative requests to the design team, ensuring they have clear briefs and the necessary context to deliver high-performing social assets.

  • Support the Senior Manager in compiling weekly and monthly performance reports using Pinpoint and Agorapulse data.

  • Travel to and support coverage at 6+ festivals annually. Work alongside the Senior Manager to capture and post real-time content that showcases the "as-it-happens" energy of the event.

  • Monitor fan conversations during festival weekends to provide immediate customer service and amplify the best fan-generated content.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in community management, social media, fan engagement, or grassroots marketing — ideally within music, entertainment, or lifestyle brands.

  • Deep understanding of music festival culture, online fan communities, and social behavior.

  • Excellent written communication and social listening skills with an authentic, conversational tone.

  • Experience engaging across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook Groups, Discord, Reddit, etc.) and using community/social tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite).

  • Comfortable representing a brand both online and in-person — from comment threads to fan meetups.

  • Highly organized self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, real-time environments.

  • Willingness to travel to festival markets and work non-traditional hours during event seasons.

This position is based in Nashville. Hybrid working schedule, 4 days in office.

The salary is DOE. Benefits include, unlimited PTO, medical/dental/vision/401k benefits. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of DWP's total compensation package for employees.
