At SSOE, we partner with Fortune 100 and industry-leading clients to design and engineer complex projects that shape how people work, live, and build for the future. As a Senior Operations Marketing Coordinator, you will play a critical leadership role in helping our teams win that work.

In this position, you will lead high-profile pursuits from strategy through delivery—guiding cross-functional teams, shaping win strategies, and ensuring compelling, client-focused messaging. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, business development leaders, and senior leadership to align pursuit strategies with client needs and SSOE’s differentiators. The ideal candidate should be graphically inclined to create aesthetically pleasing layouts in line with brand standards but also have a strong understanding of marketing concepts, including positioning, target markets, and strategy.

This role goes beyond coordination, serving as both a partner and project manager to bring together diverse inputs, drive clarity, and elevate the quality and effectiveness of proposals and presentations across SSOE’s key markets. We’re looking for a team player who is energetic, organized, creative, and self-motivated.

At SSOE, we don’t just talk about the future, we build it. As a leader in industry AI adoption, we empower our team to work smarter by providing responsible access to the industry leading AI Large Language Models, vibe-coding platforms, and securely integrating advanced tools into every role. From day one, you’ll receive the training and support needed to leverage AI as a core tool for enhancing productivity, sparking creativity, and streamlining complex workflows.

A Typical Day Might Include

  • Lead the development of complex, high-value proposals, presentations, and qualifications (PPQs) from opportunity identification through final submission.
  • Facilitate opportunity review and kickoff meetings, defining pursuit strategies, win themes, and differentiators.
  • Partner with operations and business development leadership to position SSOE competitively and align messaging with client priorities.
  • Drive proposal schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure accountability across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to marketing coordinators and support staff as needed.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT & EXECUTION

  • Manage multiple concurrent pursuits across regions, ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables.
  • Synthesize complex technical information into clear, compelling, and client-focused content.
  • Lead the development of strategic messaging and proposal narratives that differentiate SSOE.
  • Oversee the coordination, review, and production of final deliverables to ensure consistency and brand alignment.
  • Coach and support presentation teams for client interviews and selection processes.

COLLABORATION & CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

  • Interview technical staff and leadership to develop impactful project descriptions and case studies.
  • Maintain and enhance resumes and qualifications for technical personnel.
  • Collaborate with corporate marketing to ensure alignment with brand standards and messaging.
  • Support broader business development and marketing initiatives, including conferences and client engagement efforts.
  • Utilize marketing systems and tools (e.g., Deltek) to track opportunities and maintain data accuracy.

What You’ll Bring on Day One

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling content.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead pursuit teams and develop strategic messaging and positioning.
  • Advanced organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe InDesign.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • 5–10 years of experience in marketing, proposals, or business development—preferably in the AEC industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience leading large, complex pursuits or proposals.
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM systems.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.

Where Big Projects Meet Personal Growth

  • SSOE brings together the opportunities typically found at a large firm with the access, support, and close-knit culture of a smaller one. • Ongoing professional development and career advancement.
    • Exposure to diverse markets, clients, and geographies.
    • A comprehensive compensation and benefits package supporting your well-being and career growth.
    • Competitive Salary$75,000-$85,000/year depending on location, education, and experience.
    • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, 401K retirement savings plan (with company matching), professional development and training, generous PTO, and paid holidays.
