Salary: $17.65 - $42.00 Hourly Location : Recreation Facility - Rockville, MD 20850, MD Job Type: Temporary Job Number: 202500136 Department: Department of Recreation and Parks Division: Arts Opening Date: 10/10/2025 Closing Date: 6/14/2026 1:04 PM Eastern Job Summary The Recreation team is currently seeking a Dance Class Instructor I, II, or III. Essential Job Functions Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing all aspects of the program in a safe manner and environment; must be able to lead, teach, and demonstrate all aspects of activity; responsible for promoting positive public relations and image for the City through appearance, communication, punctuality, etc. Qualifications Class Instructor I (Salary: $17.65 - $24.00) QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: 1-2 years of training in the subject area; effective communication skills; certification(s) may be required. EXPERIENCE: 1 year of teaching experience required; experience with respective age group preferred. EDUCATION: High school degree or G.E.D. Class Instructor II (Salary: $25.00 - $29.00) QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Three to four years of training in the subject area. Must possess effective communication skills. Certifications pertaining to your program may be required. EXPERIENCE: Two to three years of teaching experience in the subject area. EDUCATION: At least two years of college or equivalent. Class Instructor III (Salary: $30.00 - $42.00) QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Three (3) plus years of training/exposure in subject matter; effective communication skills; Certifications pertaining to your program may be required.
