Job description

FREE PARKING FOR EMPLOYEES
As a Dance Instructor in our iconic music and entertainment venues, you'll bring energy and enthusiasm by teaching classic line dances that are a part of the country music experience, reinforce our brand identity, and create fun and memorable moments. You'll lead group dance lessons, engage with participants of all skill levels, demonstrate steps clearly and encourage participation, and create an inclusive and entertaining atmosphere that gets everyone on the dance floor. As the ideal candidate, you bring strong dance skills with an outgoing personality and the ability to teach and motivate groups of all ages, creating lasting memories through unforgettable experiences.
  • Perform dances and teach line dance lessons to guests and at private events. Announce bands/artists.
  • Engage guests by encouraging participation, dancing during live sets, and mingling between sets to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Distribute flyers to promote event and venue. Perform dance instructor duties at off-site events as needed.
  • Work closely with technical production team on coordination of music.
  • Keep sound booth clean and free of food, drinks and trash.
  • Maintain knowledge of current dance trends, country music artists, and new line dance choreography.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for artists, clients, employees, etc., ensuring that all codes, laws, regulations, and emergency procedures are followed.
  • Ensure that all equipment is used safely and in accordance with proper industry standards. Notify leadership of equipment malfunction or safety hazards immediately.
  • Appear on brand social media channels, including videos, photos, and other promotional content as needed.
  • Follow and support brand SOPs. Follow all corporate standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulations. Maintain personal integrity, support company principles, and follow brand SOPs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience
  • Performance or teaching experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for entertainment, music, and dancing
  • Able to engage audience in fun, upbeat and professional manner
  • Able to teach various dances styles from beginner to advanced levels
  • Working knowledge of choreography and technical audio platforms is required
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs

This position requires a pre-employment drug screening (4-panel: phencyclidine, cocaine, amphetamines, and opiates).
Physical Requirements
Speak and hear to communicate and use both near and far vision. Reach, bend, twist, pull and stoop. Frequently dancing, walking and standing. Dance for long periods of time. Frequently lift/carry up to 5 lbs. Continually use gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Working Conditions
Continually works in a restaurant and live music environment subject to both kitchen and customer areas and in close proximity to others.
