Job Description
In order to bring this vision to life, we're looking to build our culinary
team. We're not just looking for chefs. We're looking for someone with
an unwavering willingness to learn, who is comfortable working in a
fast-paced environment and who understands the quality and presentation
of our food is literally in your hands.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
• Education: Basic culinary coursework desired.
• Experience: At least 1-2 years' experience in an upscale, fine dining restaurant.
• Physical: Applicants must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work Schedule: Weekend and evening hour availability is a must. Hours will vary based on operational need.
Additional Information
Job Responsibilities:
• Turn on all kitchen equipment upon arrival.
• Clean, cut, and store vegetables/fruit as needed.
• Prepare soups and sauces.
• Stock stations with appropriate equipment, menu items, spices, and condiments restocking as needed.
• Follow instructions of the Executive or Sous Chefs with respect for the kitchen hierarchy.
• Put vendor deliveries away.
• Follow proper food dating and rotating procedures.
• Follow proper methods of knife handling.
• Adhere to established portion control methods.
• Assist with dishwashing
• Adhere to ServSafe guidelines and maintain a clean kitchen throughout shift
• Complete all side work before the end of shift.
• Other tasks as assigned.
