Job description:

Cottage House Ethiopian Cuisine in Georgetown is hiring line cooks to join our kitchen team — full-time and part-time positions available.

We're a growing restaurant with a full dining room, patio, and upstairs lounge (Upstairs at Cottage), gearing up for a busy fall season and looking to add reliable, hardworking cooks to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prep and execute menu items to spec, including traditional Ethiopian dishes and modern additions (kabobs, small plates, shareables)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe station during service
  • Work efficiently during peak hours across multiple venue spaces
  • Follow recipe specs and portioning standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to keep service running smoothly

Qualifications:

  • Prior line cook or prep cook experience (Ethiopian or East African cuisine experience a plus, not required — we'll train)
  • Available nights and weekends
  • Reliable and on time
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
