Job description

Accent Controls, Inc. (ACI) is currently accepting applications for Supply Technicians to work in the Property Accountability Augmentation Teams (PAAT), supporting Fort Hood Logistics Readiness Center, located in Fort Hood, Texas.

The non-exempt job classification is covered under The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) and the contract's collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Service employees are compensated per the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits that are set by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division's WDs 29 CFR Part 541 and 29 CFR 4.163(f), unless otherwise modified by a CBA between labor and management.

Overview:
The Supply Technician supports the Excess Reduction Team by conducting detailed inventory reviews, processing turn-ins, and ensuring all excess equipment and materials are accurately accounted for and disposed of in accordance with Army regulations. This position requires strong knowledge of property accountability procedures with a solid background as a 92Y Unit Supply Specialist and hands-on experience with 92A Supply Support Activity (SSA) turn-in processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, analyze, and process excess items for turn-in through established SSA procedures.
• Prepare and review all required documentation (DA 3161, DA 2062, turn-in packets, etc.) for accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize GCSS-Army to manage transactions, conduct searches, process turn-ins, and update property records.
• Coordinate with SSA personnel to ensure smooth and timely acceptance, inspection, and disposition of excess equipment.
• Assist units in reconciling discrepancies, researching LIN/NIN information, and validating accountability records.
• Maintain organized records and logs of all excess actions, turn-ins, and pending transactions.
• Conduct inventories, physical counts, and verification of property status.
• Support command supply discipline by ensuring compliance with Army regulations, SOPs, and audit requirements.
• Communicate effectively with units, property book offices, and SSA teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Provide guidance to supported units on excess identification, proper documentation, and turn-in preparation.

Required Qualifications:
• Former or current MOS 92Y Unit Supply Specialist experience.
• Hands-on 92A SSA turn-in experience (required).
• Proficiency with GCSS-Army, including turn-in transactions and property book functions.
• Experience with Army supply regulations: AR 710-2, DA Pam 710-2-1, AR 735-5, and related supply policy.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple actions simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively with units, PBOs, and SSA personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with excess reduction initiatives or lateral transfer programs.
• Knowledge of disposal processes, demilitarization codes, and condition coding.
• Familiarity with CIF, PBO operations, or SSA warehousing procedures.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move equipment or boxes up to [weight].
• Ability to perform inventories in warehouse or field environments.
