Job description

Facility Maintenance Technician
Location: Milan, MI
Pay Rate: $24-30/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting operations by completing the maintenance, preventative maintenance, and service request assignments at Golden Limousine International's headquarters in Milan, MI. Your experience will help keep our properties safe, functional, clean, and welcoming for employees, clients, and guests.
The ideal candidate will have experience in building maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, HVAC systems, general repairs, and facility cleaning. This individual will take pride in maintaining the environment that reflects Golden Limousine International's commitment to excellence.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and building systems to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns.
  • Complete general building repairs including drywall, painting, flooring, doors, windows, lighting, and minor plumbing repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on HVAC systems and coordinate repairs with outside vendors when necessary.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on facility equipment, building systems, and mechanical components.
  • Maintain and service over 15 commercial garage bay doors, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Coordinate repairs with vendors when specialized service is required.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility issues.
  • Ensure all office areas, common spaces, restrooms, garages, and public areas remain clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional appearance throughout the facility for employees, customers, and guests.
  • Monitor and replenish facility and janitorial supplies as needed.
  • Assist with event setup, room preparation, and facility support activities when required.
  • Maintain exterior areas including entrances, walkways, parking lots, landscaping, snow removal coordination, and seasonal property needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, preventative maintenance services, and facility improvement projects.
  • Monitor contractor work to ensure quality standards and project completion.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, inspection records, and equipment service schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with company and OSHA safety standards and applicable building regulations.
  • Identify, report, and address potential safety hazards throughout the property.
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts and facility-related safety initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of building or facility maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to perform general handyman repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders, bending, and prolonged standing.

Preferences
  • HVAC certification or related trade experience.
  • Experience in garage door repair and maintenance.
  • Experience maintaining commercial facilities.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems.
