Job Summary:The Directional Drilling Superintendent oversees the entire directional drilling operations, including project planning, execution, and completion. This role is responsible for managing multiple drill crews, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The Directional Drill Manager plays a crucial role in strategic planning, resource allocation, and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.Key Responsibilities:Project Oversight:Manage all aspects of directional drilling projects from initiation to completion.Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.Monitor project progress, adjust schedules as necessary, and ensure deadlines are met.Team Leadership:Lead and manage multiple directional drilling crews, including Foremen and operators.Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of crew efficiency and morale.Ensure all team members adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards.Strategic Planning:Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for the expansion and improvement of the directional drilling division.Identify new business opportunities, assist in bid preparation, and participate in contract negotiations.Analyze project outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Safety & Compliance:Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize risks on job sites.Ensure all operations comply with OSHA standards, local regulations, and company safety protocols.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in directional drilling, with at least 3 years in a management role.In-depth knowledge of HDD operations, equipment, and safety regulations.Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and multiple crews effectively.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.OSHA certification or other relevant safety training required.Bilingual a plus.Physical Requirements:Ability to work in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.Capability to travel to job sites and work extended hours as needed.Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and operating heavy equipment.Work Environment:Primarily field-based with some office work.Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying weather conditions.Compensation & Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid time off, holidays, and opportunities for professional development #J-18808-Ljbffr
