POSITION OVERVIEW Job Title: L1 Lighting Technician Department / Team: Orlando Production Location: Orlando, FL Type: Seasonal full-time Travel Requirements (if applicable): Traveling to events when needed 2. ROLE SUMMARY This role focuses on delivering professional lighting for live events by setting up, programming, and operating various lighting systems, including conventional, LED, and moving fixtures. The technician will collaborate with production teams to design and execute show looks, maintain and troubleshoot equipment, and ensure all setups are clean and visually polished. They will also support other technical needs as required while working flexible schedules to meet event demands. 3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -Set up, test, and operate all assigned lighting equipment including conventional fixtures, LED fixtures, and moving lights. -Ensure dimmer beach / power distribution is properly set up. -Be able to program and run shows on Grand MA architecture. -Collaborate with event producers, dance faculty, and production management to create show looks and scenes upon request. -Maintain and repair lighting equipment in the field, or when this is not possible ensure that production management is informed of defunct equipment in a timely manner. -Provide on-site or remote technical support to internal teams as needed. -Ensure that all lighting elements are installed with an eye to detail and presentation, neat cable runs, and properly dressed equipment are a necessity. -Support other elements of the technical team as directed by production management. 4. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Experience, Technical Skills & Tools: - 2 years relevant experience preferred -Experience with GrandMA -Proven experience as a lighting technician / programmer or similar role. -Hands-on knowledge of lighting consoles, lighting fixtures, and stage environments. -Strong troubleshooting and time-management skills. 5. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS -Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs). -Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. -Fast-paced, dynamic environment with high energy and team collaboration -ADA accommodations provided through an interactive process 6.
