Employment Type: Freelance / Contract

About the Role:
Sight & Sound Productions is hiring Freelance Lighting Technicians to support our live event productions. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with a passion for creating atmosphere and visual impact through lighting.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate lighting systems for live events
  • Work with conventional, LED, and intelligent lighting fixtures
  • Collaborate with the production team to design and execute lighting looks
  • Assist with rigging, cabling, and power distribution as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of lighting experience in live events or theatre
  • Proficiency with consoles such as MA, ETC, or Chamsys preferred
  • Knowledge of DMX addressing, power distribution, and fixture maintenance
  • Strong teamwork and time management skills
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to work nights/weekends
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Availability for local travel
