Outlet Retail Sales Associate

Days/Shifts Required: 5 day/40 hour work week / 9-5:30

Hourly pay: $15.00 - $16.50 /hour

True to its heritage though, the company has remained singularly focus on its curated collection of high-style products and unique lighting designs, many of which are produced in-house by the company’s own staff of highly trained artisans.

Job Summary

Responsible for all aspects of retail sales including but not limited to greeting customers, suggestive selling, closing the sale, and helping to maintain an organized showroom.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and provide timely response and resolution to customer requests and concerns.
  • Proactive in keeping the sales floor organized and easy to shop.
  • Assist with merchandising lighting, décor, displays, and sales floor updates.
  • Ability to retain product information and a passion to continuously learn about our product as well as the home décor industry.
  • Assembly of lighting fixtures and relative components.
  • Ensure workplace compliance training courses are completed and are in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workplace.
  • Other assigned tasks as needed by management.

Work Environment:

  • Retail store setting with POS and assembly workstations
  • Climate Controlled workspace
  • Noise level will vary depending on foot traffic, assembly of product, and/or product repairs

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 70lbs on 6-12ft ladder (up to 75%)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 75%)
  • Ability to work in proximity with others (up to 100%)
  • Ability to use small hand tools (up to 75%)
  • Ability to stoop to reach and lift items from floor (up to 75%)

Cognitive Demands:

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate (up to 100%)

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of retail, sales, and/or customer service experience required.
  • Must be comfortable climbing and maneuvering on a ladder to reach merchandise
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Comfortable with long periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space
  • Strong ability to multitask and work on different projects at a time.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and clientele
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
