Job description

CPMC is seeking a Project Manager to support one of our active (5 year) federal programs to include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. The Project Manager will be responsible for organizing and overseeing all facets of the project ensuring timely completion including development of detailed project plans while ensuring resource availability and allocation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:

  • Assist in scheduling of project tasks for assigned government projects.
  • Provides the necessary services for Project Management to provide the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of project goals and objectives based on Project Management Institute (PMI) standards.
  • Supervises and coordinates all Contractor activities and ensures that tasks are performed to the best possible efficiency on all assigned projects
  • Works with the Government and customer counterparts to establish, derive, and elaborate on system requirements and resolve issues.
  • Ensures appropriate levels of communications are established and maintained throughout the project cycle.
  • Assist Special Projects Manager with the customer in ensuring conformity to all contractual obligations.
  • Assist Special Projects Manager with establishing and maintaining technical and financial status reports.
  • Organizes and assigns responsibilities to subordinates and oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Escalate issues to vendor and thirdparty entities, as necessary and directed by the Government.
  • CONTRACT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSThis following are REQUIRED for this position:
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
  • Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects.
  • Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
  • Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision and may supervise/lead others.
  • Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
  • Maintain standard working hours per the contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks.
  • CONTRACT DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSThe following are DESIRED for this position:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or CAPM
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or SAFe Scrum Master
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    The following are the education and experience required for this position:

  • 69 years of experience and bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of direct experience as a project manager
  • Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline with cultural change management and Agile mindset.
