Job Summary

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating cross-functional projects within the supply chain, ensuring efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements. This role manages project timelines, vendor relationships, and stakeholder communications to deliver supply chain initiatives that support business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities with Assisting:

  • Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies to meet production schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely deliveries.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure schedules are met efficiently
  • Adjust production plans to address changes in demand, supply availability, or capacity.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency.
  • Maintain accuracy of stock records through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Assist warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and distribution.
  • Track warehouse KPI’s, including order accuracy, on-time shipments, and space utilization.

Qualifications and Education Requirements Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent 4 Year Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations with emphasis on purchasing, planning, inventory, and warehouse management.
  • Experience in lighting or electrical component handling is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and warehouse management practices.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to read and understand pick lists, part numbers, and basic product drawings
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. May involve exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise, and temperature changes. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout shift.
