Job description

Position summary: Responsible for developing relationships with the SESCO outside sales team regarding their controls needs. Responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with end user customers. Generally, works independently and assists others as needed.

Position responsibilities:

  • Become an industry resource for controls and provide recommendations (solutions) to existing and new construction job sites through contacts with developers for public and private facilities
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with customers, manufacturers, and outside salespeople
  • Work in conjunction with other SESCO salespeople and work to identify customers needing controls solutions
  • Solve problems quickly and turn them into opportunities
  • Earn discretionary business from customer base to pass through Distributors
  • Ensure quick and proper response to all reasonable customer requests
  • Identify and secure new markets and adoption of new technologies within your territory
  • Maintain profitability by meeting bogies and containing managing expenses
  • Travel may be required
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a professional environment
  • Must learn and maintain knowledge on all manufacturers represented
  • Exhibit excellent communications skills and the ability to develop presentations to customers and present in a professional manner
  • Excellent sales skills including cold calling, building relationships, selling value, and customer service
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Extraordinary attention to details required
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Possess excellent team work ethic
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license, and insurance
