Low Voltage Project Superintendent:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and highly organized Low Voltage Construction Superintendent to oversee the onsite execution of low voltage systems installations in a large pharmaceutical facility in Lebanon, IN.  Candidate should have a thorough working knowledge of the installation and integration of Building Automation Systems (BAS) in compliance with GMP standards and FDA regulations. This role involves managing subcontractors, ensuring work is completed according to design, schedule, quality, and safety standards, and serving as the technical liaison between field teams and project management.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically adept, and capable of driving quality and compliance across all aspects of low voltage construction.

Location:  Lebanon, IN

Anticipated Work Hours:  40+ hours per week

Subcontractor Management:

·         Coordinate and supervise low voltage subcontractors on site (initially just the projects BAS).

·         Ensure all work is aligns with project scope, specifications and pharmaceutical compliance requirements (GMP, cGMP).

·         Conduct daily jobsite walks, verify progress, resolve issues in real time, and enforce health and safety standards.

·         Track subcontractor deliverables and ensure adherence to schedule and quality benchmarks.

Technical Oversight:

·         Oversee the installation and integration of BAS and environmental monitoring systems (EMS), including HVAC controls, critical space monitoring, and alarm systems.

·         Interpret control wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and system architecture drawings.

·         Collaborate with MEP coordinators and commissioning agents to validate system readiness.

·         Provide technical direction on the installation of building automation systems (e.g., HVAC controls, energy management systems, access control, and lighting controls).

·         Interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and installation details.

·         Review submittals, as-builts, and commissioning plans to ensure accurate implementation.

Project Coordination:

·         Work closely with the project manager, engineers, schedulers, and general contractor to align field activities with the overall construction schedule.

·         Participate in project meetings, progress reports, and inspections.

·         Maintain daily logs, photo documentation, and field reports.

Quality Control & Commissioning Support:

·         Verify installation standards, proper labeling, terminations, and functionality.

·         Support start-up, testing, and commissioning of BAS systems.

·         Identify and resolve field deficiencies before final handoff.

Qualifications:

·         10+ years of construction experience

·         Ideally the candidate will have 5+ years of experience in low voltage construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.

·         Experience and knowledge of building automation systems (BAS/BMS), including system layout, integration, and commissioning.

·         Strong knowledge of low voltage wiring, conduit installation, and control panel installation.

·         Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, local codes).

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills.

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.

·         OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain).

·         Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience with leading BAS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Trane, etc.).

·         Previous experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.  Experience in food, health, life sciences, industrial or pharmaceutical industry is desired.

·         Understanding of network infrastructure and IP-based control systems.

·         Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field desired but not required.

Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to work on construction sites, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in varying weather conditions.

·         Frequent walking, standing, and visual inspection of work areas.
