A member of Athos Commemorative Services, Urgel Bourgie / Athos has been providing families with high-quality, personalized commemorative services for over a century, while respecting their beliefs and traditions. Celebrating and honouring life is at the heart of our commitment. Through our network of 10 funeral complexes and three cemetery gardens, we support families with compassion, respect, and professionalism. We are looking for a reliable, discreet individual in good physical condition to assist with room preparation, facility maintenance, and the smooth delivery of funeral services. An on-call position. Practical and varied responsibilities. A compassionate and professional environment. Your Role You will actively participate in preparing the premises and help ensure that families are welcomed into a clean, orderly, and carefully arranged environment. This versatile position combines maintenance, material handling, room preparation, and support for funeral operations. Summary of Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness of the funeral complex’s interior, including floors, washrooms, reception rooms, entrance doors and windows, flowers, and the showroom; Clean the columbariums and crypts as required; Replace burned-out light bulbs; Review the urn burial schedule and the funeral complex’s daily agenda; Set up visitation rooms, chapels, and reception rooms; Arrange ashes, deceased persons, flowers, and other amenities; Transfer deceased persons from the refrigerated room to visitation rooms or chapels; Order required supplies and verify deliveries, including coffee, tea, cups, sanitary products, cleaning supplies, stationery, and other related items; Prepare document packages for funeral directors; Refill the coffee machine regularly and ensure that it is properly maintained; Empty garbage containers as needed; Perform any other related duties. Candidate Profile This position is particularly well suited to someone who: Is currently studying or seeking employment involving practical and varied responsibilities; Has completed or is currently completing a high school diploma; Is in good physical condition and able to perform material-handling duties; Is comfortable working while standing and moving around frequently; Is comfortable performing cleaning and room setup duties; Demonstrates discretion, maturity, and respect; Has strong organizational and prioritization skills; Is independent, punctual, reliable, and attentive to detail; Can remain calm and professional in a sensitive environment; Enjoys teamwork and providing practical support to colleagues.
