Location: Kiel, WI

Hours:  Monday through Friday- Start: 4:30a to 5:30a, End: 2p to 3p

Pay: $26.95/hr

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000

Vacation: 5 days of prorated vacation upon completion of 90 day probationary period.

DESCRIPTION:     

The LG5 Breath Guard Cell Operator is a multi-skilled manufacturing role responsible for assembling, fabricating, and spending up to 40% of the time welding custom breath guard products in a cell-based manufacturing environment. This position combines advanced assembly responsibilities with fabrication and TIG welding tasks. The operator ensures products meet quality, safety, and delivery expectations while supporting continuous improvement and team collaboration within the Breath Guard operation.

Welding & Fabrication

Perform TIG welding on materials such as aluminum, steel, and stainless steel as required for the fabrication of breath guards. Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, fitting, and joining metal parts to specification. Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Support cross-training efforts to ensure flexibility across assembly and fabrication functions.

Assembly & Cell Operations

Assemble breath guard components and finished products according to blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and verbal direction. Perform both standard and advanced assembly tasks, including complex or custom configurations. Operate within a manufacturing cell environment to meet daily production, quality, and delivery targets. Utilize hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and light machinery safely and effectively.

Quality & Documentation

Inspect components and finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards. Identify defects, troubleshooting issues, and escalate concerns to the lead or supervisor. Accurately complete production documentation, including materials used, labor tracking, and quality checks.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

Collaborate with team members, leaders, and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and on-time completion. Assist with training and mentoring less experienced operators as needed, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.

Safety & Housekeeping

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards. Actively supports a culture of safety, accountability, and respect. Perform other duties as assigned.
