Job description

Job Title: Automation Controls Application Engineer

Classification: Regular, Full Time

FLSA Status: Exempt


Open to candidates in CT, RI, or MA.


Primary Functions:

  • Pre- and post-sales support for all Power-Flo Technologies Automation products and services.
  • Assist Customers with our core industrial products
  • Assist sales and account managers as necessary to close business.
  • Generate Engineering and Training billings.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Phone and occasional On-Site customer support.
  • Preparation and execution of product training classes including development of course and materials.
  • Attend vendor training classes as offered and/or required.
  • Maintenance, Appearance and Upgrades to Product Demo Rooms and Training Rooms across the entire Axis territory
  • Weekly Schedule report.
  • Target and Plan for minimum $20K annual Engineering and Training Billings.
  • Minimum 2 customer calls per week, whether technical or sales.
  • Monitor and complete assigned “War Board” Tasks
  • Development of product demonstrations, Bills of Materials and product research as required by Sales and Account Managers
  • The right candidate will become factory certified in the product lines we support.


Necessary Qualifications :

  • AS or equivalent technical degree
  • Knowledge of some of the Power-Flo Technologies Automation Product lines a plus. (https://www.powerflotechnologies.com/new-england-line-card)
  • Presentation and Trainer skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation or robotics
  • Must have electrical CAD and programming experience
  • Experience programming Siemens PLCs preferred


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Some minor lifting of demo equipment, etc.
