In this role, you will manage field operations and logistics to maintain high-quality, profitable, and safe services for our expanding Maintenance Department. Key Responsibilities

Field Operations Leadership

  • Dispatch and oversee daily crew execution
  • Proactively manage schedule changes, weather, and emergencies
  • Ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and to our standard
  • Communicate clearly with clients to provide updates and confirm changes


Quality & Client Experience

  • Maintain the highest standards of service across all properties
  • Proactively respond to quality control reports and ensure issues are resolved
  • Protect and strengthen client relationships through proactive communication


Efficiency & Profitability

  • Monitor and improve:
    • Billable vs. paid time
    • Job costing (actual vs. estimated)
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
  • Support department gross profit targets (approximately 40%)


Systems & Technology

  • Implement and champion tools that improve operations
  • Train team members and ensure adoption across the department
  • Lead with and optimize platforms like LMN (Landscape Management Network)


Operations & Administration

  • Oversee scheduling, routing, and job tracking
  • Manage both internal and client communication
  • Coordinate with administration to ensure billing accuracy


Leadership & Team Development

  • Tackle team challenges, enhance performance, and ensure accountability
  • Participate in the hiring process, shape team structure, and facilitate training
  • Guide Property Managers (Crew Leaders) and positively influence their crews

  • Strong efficiency metrics across crews
  • Quick resolution of quality control issues
  • High client retention (focused on service)
  • Consistent achievement of margin targets for jobs
  • Continuous improvement of systems as the company expands


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to access and navigate our bulk yard, loading areas, office space, and other aspects of our facilities
  • Must be able to access and navigate project sites, which entail elevation changes and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions (i.e., extreme cold, direct sun)
  • Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle report, in accordance with our hiring process
  • Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening prior to hiring
  • Must be able to lift 80 pounds at times
