Job description

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
REPORTS TO: Head Women's Basketball Coach
POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting and supporting the Head Women's Basketball Coach and all aspects of the program. This position will help organize and run summer camps. The successful candidate will be a team play, build relationships and trust, focus on supporting student-athlete success and develop a competitive NCAA Division III program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Post development and breakdowns
Finishing through contact and/or finishes around contact
Individual workouts
Game responsibilities
Who's ball out of timeout/halftime
Get film set up before games
Drive van to away games
Grab game ball before each home game
Scouting
Roughly 6-8 scouting reports through the season
Identify tendencies for team and individually
Prepare the scouting report and present to the team
Film clips on synergy
Recruiting
Recruiting while at summer tournaments
Text/call recruits
Take initiative in finding recruits and building relationships
Camps
Expected to assist at all camps
Take the lead in some drills during camp
Help recruit kids to come to camp
EDUCATION:
Desirable: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:
Essential: 2+ years of coaching experience
Desirable: Previous college playing experience
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid driver's license
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Effective written and oral communication

Target Salary: $5,000 annual, no benefits
Pay Range: $5,000 per year
