TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Rochester, Minnesota.

We are looking for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Rochester, MN. The right MRI Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for the use of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. MRI Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.

Tasks

As an MRI Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
  • Assist radiologist with procedure performance
  • Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required.

MRI Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
