Understanding these differences helps organizations assign the right responsibilities and professionals to each phase of a product's journey.

How does a Lifecycle Manager typically collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams?

Lifecycle Managers work closely with marketing to coordinate targeted campaigns and ensure messaging aligns with the customer journey. They partner with product teams to understand feature releases and gather user feedback, helping to inform lifecycle strategies. Collaboration with customer success teams is essential for identifying customer pain points and optimizing engagement tactics. This cross-functional teamwork enables Lifecycle Managers to design and execute comprehensive programs that drive user retention, satisfaction, and growth.

What are lifecycle managers and what do they do?

Lifecycle managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the entire journey of a product, service, or customer relationship from initiation to completion or renewal. They work to optimize each stage—such as onboarding, engagement, retention, and offboarding—ensuring that users or products meet business goals efficiently. Their duties often include analyzing data, coordinating with marketing and product teams, and implementing strategies to improve user experience and value.

This role is responsible for how prospects move through the funnel & building the infrastructure, programs, and touchpoints that drive conversion.

You will work closely with Growth Marketing, Sales, and RevOps to ensure prospects receive the right message at the right time - improving funnel velocity and conversion efficiency.

Your work ensures:

  • Leads do not stall between stages

  • Lifecycle programs support and scale Growth-led campaigns

  • Segmentation and data are accurately operationalized for execution

  • Email and nurture programs drive measurable movement through the funnel

Training and Development

This role provides deep exposure to the infrastructure that powers revenue generation.

You'll work closely with marketing leadership and RevOps to understand how lifecycle marketing supports the broader growth strategy.

Your first 30-60 days will focus on:

  • Auditing existing nurture programs and lifecycle stages

  • Understanding the SQL generation strategy and funnel metrics

  • Evaluating email performance and segmentation quality

  • Improving lifecycle automation and reporting visibility

Over time, you will help design scalable lifecycle systems that support ABM, partnerships, referrals, and other demand programs.

What We Are Looking For

We're seeking a marketer who understands how to turn interest into action.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • 4-7 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in lifecycle, email, or demand generation roles

  • Experience building and optimizing nurture programs

  • Strong understanding of funnel stages and buyer journeys

  • Familiarity with segmentation, lifecycle automation, and email performance analysis

  • Ability to translate campaign engagement into conversion programs

  • Strong collaboration with RevOps or marketing operations teams

  • Analytical mindset and comfort working with funnel metrics

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in SMB-focused SaaS

  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce or similar tools

  • Experience supporting ABM or partner campaigns with targeted lifecycle follow-up

Day to Day
Lifecycle Strategy & Conversion Systems
  • Build and optimize nurture programs aligned to funnel stages

  • Own MQL SQL conversion and pipeline progression

  • Develop lifecycle flows that support Growth-led campaigns (ABM, partnerships, events)

Email & Nurture Execution
  • Own email execution, QA, testing, and reporting

  • Improve performance through structured testing (in partnership with Growth)

  • Ensure messaging aligns with campaign strategy and audience intent

Funnel Infrastructure & Data Operations
  • Operationalize audience segmentation defined by Growth Marketing

  • Maintain clean lifecycle stages, triggers, and automation

  • Partner with RevOps to ensure accurate data flow and reporting

Campaign Conversion Support
  • Translate campaign engagement into structured follow-up (nurtures, sequences, retargeting support)

  • Ensure consistent prospect experience across lifecycle touchpoints

Why Work at Torch Dental
  • Help build the infrastructure that converts demand into revenue

  • Work directly with leadership to optimize funnel performance

  • Join a fast-growing startup where marketing has clear influence on company growth
