Staffing Specialist

Columbus, OH, United States


An internal position with Life Style Staffing. We are seeking a candidate looking to gain valuable experience within the Human Resources/Recruiting and Customer service fields.

This role requires strong skills in leadership, relationship building, and critical thinking to effectively source qualified candidates and establish and maintain relationships with our customers.


Duties:

  • Design procedures for each hiring stage, including assessments and interview questions
  • Recruit for qualified candidates using computer databases, networking, internet resources, media, and employee referrals
  • Creating onboarding documents and conduct onboarding classes.
  • Perform interviews with potential candidate and assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, experience and aptitudes and conduct all necessary background checks/reference checks
  • Prepare and extend offers to select candidates.
  • Document all applicant and client information correctly into applicant tracking system.
  • Supervise current employee attendance and performance; provide corrective actions as needed
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual hiring status reports
  • Work with our clients to monitor their staffing needs and project future staffing levels
  • Advertise job openings across multiple channels (e.g. job boards, careers pages and social platforms)
  • Investigate Workers Compensation claims
  • Conduct site visits at clients as needed
  • Validate and process payroll in a timely manner
