Location: Greater Philadelphia Area

Territory- Mid-Atlantic to begin with but can grow larger in time

Title: Business Development Manager or Account Development Specialist depending on experience.

Product or Service: Cell culture software service and platform


Join a life science company that is aiming to revolutionize cell culture efficiencies by empowering scientists with digital cell culture manufacturing and lab execution solutions to build the future of Cell Therapy, Gene Therapy, and Cell Culture. This Saas platform defines and manages all assay workflows, activities, equipment, materials, personnel, data/calculations, and projects in assay development and biomanufacturing at all stages of development.

The compliance and regulatory scope span early Research and Development, GLP testing, and GMP manufacturing, and FDA Compliance 21 CFR Part 11.

The integrated platform has active configured workflow support, supports tech transfer and scalability across multiple R&D stages, and provides real-time analytics and its dashboards provide greater visibility into projects across multiple sites.


Position Summary:

We are seeking energetic, self-reliant individuals who can translate innovative solutions into sales. Ideal candidates will have a successful track record in territory development and demonstrated sales results. This position is an ideal opportunity for individuals who demonstrate the ability to effectively manage work independently and can travel. The business development manager will have broad knowledge in the area of cell culture. Additional training will be provided.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Introduce/Present SAAS solutions while discerning client’s needs and presenting solutions with intelligence and originality.

  • Support high growth potential region by organizing and following up on leads, cold calling in person and by phone, meeting with customers, writing quotes, price lists, and contracts.

  • Develop and execute a regional business plan, sell and promote company software services and cloud solutions.

  • Organize product demonstrations for rapid instrument adoption.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team towards common goals.

  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy, and identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation

  • Development of new business through excellence in cold calling, qualifying, discovery, online demonstrations, and contract negotiations.

  • Relationship development with decision-makers at cold call accounts.

  • Develop go-to-market campaign strategies in the given territories.


Requirements:


  • Sales experience with software platforms, life science capital equipment with software add ons, technical platforms, SAAS (software as a service), or PAAS (platform as a service).

  • Ability to generate and follow up on leads to close business.

  • Ability and enthusiasm to work within a startup environment which means wearing multiple hats and finding non-linear solutions with minimal supervision.


Education


  • Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Business, Life Science, Computer Science or equivalent required.

  • Ideally, we would like someone with experience in cell culture to be able to understand the utilization of the platform, however we will train the right candidate.
