Job description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Principal Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) to join our Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) team. In this role, you will help HCLS customers realize business value by accelerating their cloud and AI transformation journeys.
As a Principal CSM, you will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to some of the world's leading Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) companies. You will work backwards from customer business objectives, leverage AWS best practices developed over thousands of engagements, and design and execute end-to-end cloud adoption experiences that deliver measurable outcomes.
You will own and drive execution excellence across the customer's cloud journey, spanning technical, operational, organizational, and educational dimensions

You will engage C-level executives, VP-level technology leaders, and cross-functional teams to align AWS investments with business priorities, accelerate AI adoption, and ensure customers capture the full potential of AWS's industry-leading services.
Key job responsibilities
Customer Value Realization & Transformation
- Identify and accelerate customers' realization of value throughout the cloud lifecycle through adoption of AWS services, partner solutions, and best practices
- Own the end-to-end customer transformation strategy, connecting technical execution to measurable business outcomes (efficiency gains, cost savings, revenue acceleration, time-to-market improvements)
- Design and drive strategic initiatives including large-scale migrations, AI/ML adoption, data analytics modernization, and digital transformation programs specific to Life Sciences workflows
- Establish success criteria and track value delivery against customer business objectives
Strategic Execution & Program Leadership
- Define strategic opportunities and understand associated business and technical risks across the customer's cloud journey, including migrations, modernization, new builds, and co-innovation
- Create, manage, and deliver complex business and technology programs, navigating risks and roadblocks in ambiguous and changing environments
- Establish and mature operating models and governance structures to drive scale and long-term success through the application of AWS frameworks and mechanisms
- Orchestrate cross-functional delivery across sales, solutions architecture, enterprise support, professional services, product engineering, and AWS partners
Executive Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Earn trust across the customer's organization, from technical practitioners to C-suite executives
- Serve as the customer's cloud journey coach and voice of the customer within AWS, evangelizing customer needs to AWS leadership, product, and engineering teams
- Lead executive briefings, roadmap reviews, and business outcome alignment sessions
- Influence technical and business stakeholders to drive alignment on cloud adoption and AI strategies
Industry & Technical Depth
- Build domain expertise, develop understanding of industry use-cases and solutions, solve customer problems using AWS services and mechanisms.
- Engage credibly in technical discussions spanning cloud architecture, AI/ML, real-world data analytics, and scientific computing
- Guide customers on AWS services and best practices when specialized resources are unavailable, leveraging AI-augmented tools to address technical depth gaps
- Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends in healthcare and life sciences
