What does a life insurance claim adjuster do?

A Life Insurance Claim Adjuster is responsible for evaluating and processing claims made on life insurance policies after a policyholder passes away. They review submitted documents, investigate the circumstances of the claim, and verify beneficiaries to ensure the claim is valid. The adjuster communicates with beneficiaries, medical professionals, and legal representatives as needed, and ultimately determines the payout amount in accordance with the policy terms.
