Life Insurance Annuity Representative Jobs (NOW HIRING)

ROLE OVERVIEW 

Axyra is seeking a Senior Tech Engineer Lead to join a client engagement team supporting transformational Life & Annuity initiatives. This role carries lead-level responsibility within a component or workstream — driving technical design decisions, applying deep platform and domain expertise, and directing and tracking the work of a team of developers and architects. Candidates should be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in fast-paced, delivery-focused consulting environments. 

REPORTING STRUCTURE 

Reports to: Engagement Lead / Project Director (assigned per client engagement). 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead technical design decisions within an assigned component or workstream, ensuring alignment with overall project architecture and client objectives. 
• Managing and communicating at executive levels 
• Apply deep platform and/or domain expertise (Verisk FAST, Salesforce, Azure, annuity products) to shape solution design and resolve complex technical requirements gaps. 
• Direct and track the work of a team of developers and architects, assigning tasks, reviewing progress, and ensuring delivery against plan. 
• Translate business and technical requirements into detailed build specifications for annuity product administration, illustration, and processing systems. 
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for platform architecture, integration, and build-quality considerations.  
• Partner with business analysts, QA, and architecture teams to validate that build and configuration align with business intent. 
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and design gaps early, and drive resolution with client and Axyra leadership. 
• Mentor and provide technical direction to developers and junior engineers on the engagement. 
• Support client workshops, technical design reviews, and code/build reviews, representing Axyra's delivery standards. 
• Contribute to reusable technical artifacts, playbooks, and lessons learned to strengthen Axyra's L&A delivery capability. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• 7+ years of software/platform engineering experience, with strong specialization in insurance and/or annuity products. 
• Demonstrated experience leading technical design decisions at the component or workstream level on transformation or system implementation projects. 
• Deep platform or domain expertise in one or more of: Verisk FAST (policy administration), other PAS systems: GIAS, OIPA, ALIP, ID3, Salesforce, Microsoft Azure, or annuity product design/administration. 
• Proven experience directing and tracking the work of a team of developers and architects. 
• Strong working knowledge of annuity product types, transaction processing, and related regulatory/compliance considerations. 
• Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers on an engagement team. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage credibly with client stakeholders and executives. 
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience strongly preferred. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Experience across multiple annuity platforms or systems (e.g., Verisk FAST or other PAS systems: GIAS, OIPA, ALIP, ID3, etc. is highly preferable) 
• Prior experience with de novo carrier builds or large-scale legacy system migrations. 
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
