Role Description The Life Insurance & Annuity Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in North Palm Beach, FL. This specialist will design and implement life insurance and annuity strategies that align with clients’ comprehensive financial plans, focusing on wealth protection, income planning, and legacy transfer. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing client financial profiles, recommending appropriate insurance and annuity products, preparing proposals and illustrations, and clearly explaining options, benefits, and risks in client meetings. The role involves collaborating closely with financial advisors and the investment team, coordinating applications and underwriting, managing policy and contract servicing, and maintaining accurate documentation in the firm’s CRM and planning systems. The specialist will also stay current on carrier offerings, regulatory changes, and tax considerations related to insurance and annuities, and contribute to internal training and client education materials.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in life insurance and annuity solutions, including needs analysis, product selection, and policy design for wealth protection and income planning.
  • Experience with comprehensive financial planning concepts such as retirement income strategies, estate planning basics, tax-aware planning, and risk management.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, including clear communication, active listening, and the ability to translate complex insurance and annuity concepts into accessible guidance.
  • Proficiency with financial planning tools, CRM systems, and standard office software to document recommendations, track workflows, and support compliance.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage applications, underwriting requirements, policy servicing, and regulatory documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary wealth management team and to align insurance strategies with in-house investment management.
  • Relevant licenses (e.g., state life and health insurance license; Series licenses are a plus depending on responsibilities) and a strong understanding of industry regulations.
  • Preferred education: bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in insurance or financial services.
  • Commitment to ethical, fiduciary-minded advice, continuous learning, and delivering a high-quality client experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.

P&C experience a plus.
