Life Engagement Director

Location: Philadelphia, PA, 19118

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Life Engagement Director to join our senior living community in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior living life engagement and activities management, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through meaningful and engaging programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive life engagement program tailored to the interests and needs of senior residents.
  • Plan and coordinate daily activities, events, and outings that promote socialization, wellness, and cognitive stimulation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, dining, and wellness staff to ensure holistic resident care.
  • Assess resident interests and abilities to create personalized engagement plans.
  • Lead and supervise life engagement staff and volunteers, providing training and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, participation, and resident progress.
  • Supervise department time and attendance
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to life engagement and activities programming.
  • Foster a warm, inclusive, clean and vibrant community atmosphere that encourages resident involvement.
  • Other tasks as requested
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Life Engagement Director or Activities Director in a senior living or assisted living environment.
  • Strong knowledge of senior living life engagement principles and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
  • Compassionate and patient approach to working with seniors.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance related to senior living activities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Relevant degree or certification in recreational therapy, gerontology, or related field is a plus.
