JMT's Survey/Geomatics department offers an exciting work environment that leverages modern technology (terrestrial/mobile/aerial LiDAR, Drones, robotics, bathymetry, etc.) balanced with sound traditional survey procedures to deliver projects.

Position Summary: Responsible for completing the data processing phase of specific field survey projects, deed research, boundary computations, plat drafting and other related tasks.

Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of geomatics, surveying, and reality capture
  • Proficient with survey computations
  • Experience with Carlson Survey and/or Open Roads Designer
  • Performs office computations necessary for completing task assignments, including QA/QC.
  • Develop topographic base mapping (field to Finish Processing) through conventional survey and/or LiDAR
  • Analyzes raw data for mathematical closure and geometric accuracy
