We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our remote team at Presbyterian Healing Counseling Aid. This position is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to manage your own schedule while working from the comfort of your home. As part of an outpatient mental health office, you will have the support of a collaborative team environment that values communication and innovation in therapeutic practices.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs and progress of your patients, utilizing tools and evidence-based approaches during consultations.
• Facilitate effective communication among supervisors, care staff, families, and other stakeholders to monitor and document the progress of individuals in treatment.
• Prepare and maintain a clear schedule of patient appointments and home visits to ensure consistent follow-up and monitoring of treatment plans.
• Coordinate home visits for in-depth observations and assessments, conducting chart reviews and staff interviews as required.
• Ensure the successful implementation of program plans, making necessary adjustments based on patient responses and treatment effectiveness.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and strategies for enhancing patient care and outcomes.
• Document progress through detailed monthly and quarterly notes, maintaining organized records for ease of access by relevant parties.
• Provide training and development for staff on program protocols, ensuring all team members are equipped to deliver quality care.
• Conduct follow-up interviews and home visits to provide ongoing support tailored to individual patient needs.
• Act as a liaison between patients and the mental health community, advocating for resources that support therapeutic goals.
• Assist in developing training materials and procedures that enhance program effectiveness and staff competencies.

You will work primarily with a varied population, including both adults and youth, who may be experiencing challenges such as mental health crises, substance misuse, trauma, and relationship issues. Your role will be pivotal in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working toward healing.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active, unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon is essential.
• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, particularly in a clinical setting, is necessary.
• Strong expertise in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to counseling practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to build rapport with a diverse range of clients.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and relevant technologies is required.

• Specializations in trauma-informed care or experience with particular methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), are advantageous.
• Previous experience working with outpatient programs or managed care environments is a plus.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
