Real Stories. Real Impact.
"I had a call with a member who was newly diagnosed with a major medical condition. The member is alone and doesn't have family close to her; she was overwhelmed with all of the new doctors, medical terms, medicines, and treatments. The member feared what her future held and was concerned she wouldn't be able to afford upcoming expenses. I assured the member she was in great hands that day, we would take our time and find a solution so she could receive needed treatments at prices she could afford. During the call there were times we giggled together and times we even cried a bit. I looked up the member's doctors, medications, checked EoCs for more information and we found a plan that would cover all the correct things and have low copayments. The member thanked me at the end of the call for being thorough, educating her on how insurance works including the basics such as MOOPs and deductibles, and mostly for being kind when she needed someone to care. Made my whole week."
