To thrive as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor, you need a master's degree in counseling or a related field, strong foundational knowledge of mental health theories, and state licensure or registration as an LGPC. Familiarity with counseling software, documentation systems, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities like CBT or DBT is typically required.
